Baseball... Fun for the whole family!!!!

So on Saturday I sat down to watch my beloved Yankees take on the hated Red Sox. As I was watching, my daughter came in the room and said "Dad, I wanna watch with you"...
Of course you can watch with me. Well, after about 3 minutes and some photos by mom, she said "lets go play baseball outside. I can be Derek Jeter (that's my favorite Yankee) and you can be the pitcher"... So outside we went and had a good time... Tante Sharon, Mommy, Daddy, and Abby! Below are the photos...

But this is the cutest part - After the game was over, Aunt Sarah and Abby were having a conversation about baseball and the game we just played. So Sarah asked, "Abby, who is your favorite baseball player?" Derek Jeter?, A-Rod?, Matusi?"
Abby's answer without any hesitation????

JONAH! My nephew and my favorite baseball player too!

"Shooting the Moon"

So last night I was on my way home and I happen to stop and watch some deer feeding in a grass field. I looked up and I saw that moon was hanging low in the sky and bright. So took some pictures. As I was taking some pictures I was thinking about the purpose of the moon.
Why did God place the moon & earth together?

The Moon effects waves, earth's solar orbit and rotational speed, and the moon has no light of its own; instead the moon reflects the sun's light.

I think the last thing that Moon does is what God was trying show me. I thought about a couple of things while "shooting the moon".

1. God will provide light even in the darkest of moments. It doesn't matter how dark the night is. God will shine His light into our life if we let him.

2. Just like the Moon reflects the sun's light... God wants us to reflect the SON'S LIGHT. To those around us who are in the dark. Anyway, there are some of my thoughts last night while "shooting the moon"

Please enjoy the photos...

Half & Half

So I am wondering are you half empty kinda of person or half full kinda of person? I took these pictures last night. And it reminded me of the scene in the movie Signs where Mel Gibson's Character and Joaquin Phoenix are watching the TV coverage of the Aliens appearing over Mexico and have this conversation. Mel Gibson character speaking...
"
People break down into two groups. When they experience something lucky, group number one sees it as more than luck, more than coincidence. They see it as a sign, evidence, that there is someone up there, watching out for them. Group number two sees it as just pure luck. Just a happy turn of chance. I'm sure the people in group number two are looking at those fourteen lights in a very suspicious way. For them, the situation is a fifty-fifty. Could be bad, could be good. But deep down, they feel that whatever happens, they're on their own. And that fills them with fear. Yeah, there are those people. But there's a whole lot of people in group number one. When they see those fourteen lights, they're looking at a miracle. And deep down, they feel that whatever's going to happen, there will be someone there to help them. And that fills them with hope. See what you have to ask yourself is what kind of person are you? Are you the kind that sees signs, that sees miracles? Or do you believe that people just get lucky? Or, look at the question this way: Is it possible that there are no coincidences?"

I am in group one and half full kinda of person. Thanks for reading

Mirror, Mirror!

This pictures reminds me of the verse:
I Cor. 13:12-13

12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.
13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

"Father help me to see You."
"Please help me to see Your guiding hand in my life."
"Show me how to love people the way You love me."

"I want to follow You all the days of my life and love those who You have placed in my life, until I see You face to face" AMEN
