SAHD!!!

S is for - Sniff, Sniff... "Daddy, Abby's sick"

A is for - Am I crazy to think that I can do this???
H is for - How in world does my wife do this every day????
D is for- "Dinosaurs, Daddy will play Dinosaurs (for about 2 minutes then Abby gets bored) or "Daddy, I want want Mom to come home"

So, today I am trying to be Mr. Mom. I was able to work 40 hours in 4 days in order for Rebecca to work a little bit. I am sure that she needed the little bit Independence and freedom. I think next time I am going to have some sorta check list.. First Abby wakes up and watches some "shows" while that is happening feed Madilyn. Second, burp Madilyn and get ready for the ten million questions of why? or are you burping Madi?" Third, now that Madilyn is sleeping again, get ready to play with Playdoh, and dinosaurs until Abby is bored with that and wants to move on. Fourth find Abby some medicine. Fifteenth (I lost count) make Abby some lunch (and pray that Madi stays sleeping) and finally put Abby down for a nap (and pray Madi stays sleeping.I am just glad for the last 15 minutes when both children are sleeping and I can clean the house and prepare for round 2...
Enjoy the pictures!!! Thanks for Reading

Ps. I have greater respect for all the SAHM out there (Stay at home moms)

Coffee in morning, afternoon, or evening!

I have a couple vivid memories of my poppa...
First he used to drive me to school every morning, and on the way he would love to ask me random questions (often the same question just in a different form). I think because he loved to annoy me so early in the morning. In my last post I told you all that I am a Night Owl... Well, my dad was certainly morning person. He was peppy and very talkative. Polar opposite of me!

Second vivid memory
I have of my dad is his coffee.
He always had a cup of coffee with him and it was always black. No sugar, no cream and never empty! He didn't believe travel mugs either. His idea of a coffee travel cup was an old mug that he would keep close and handy. I can't remember a time when my dad was in his truck without a cup of coffee in his hand and sheba (his dog) by his side.
So in another way I realize that my dad are a lot like...
"I am a coffee lover (And Watson too) and forever will be!"
So this cups for you! I hope you have a great day

They are so small...

DON'T BE FOOLED...

They may look cute but these two little ones will steal any moments of sleep that they can. Now I am more of an owl, then I am a morning dove. But these last couple of nights these two little girls have been robbing me and my wife (my wife more then I) of precious sleep...
Madi is a new born and can't figure out when she should be awake or sleeping.
Abby is 3 years old has a bad cold, so she is stuffed up and refuses to blow her nose. So she can't breathe through her nose, so then she has a sore throat and frustrated. She wakes up crying and wants to sleep with "mommy or daddy". I am getting pretty good at grabbing my pillow and meeting her on the futon bed. Only She calls sleeping what we refer to as "floppy around like a fish out of water."

Also Abby has asked for some the strangest things "I want hot tea" (3:00 AM) "I want to watch a movie "(5:00 am)
and again last night "I want hot tea" (1:30 AM). Except last night i brought to her and all she really wanted was "Mommy" ...

So my prayer is that Abby gets rid of this cold and that my wife gets some well deserved sleep!
Madi will learn when is the right time sleep and right time be awake!

Photography???

Alright I have this new camera (at least its new to me) and I have become addicted to taken pictures. Today I got an awesome invite. Someone (Aaron of the photoblog that I have linked to my blog) asked me go to DC next Thursday and do some night shooting. I hope I am a quick study cause I don't know much about night shooting... It will be fun anyway. I am actually hoping for a little dusting of snow and for those who don't know very well, I hate snow. I think it comes from growing up in Buffalo... Anyway these are few pictures that I have taken and I wanted to share with you all here... I put some photos of DC photo walk next week.
