Here are some projects that I have been working on...

First is a video that I put together for my church.

Here are some photos...
We took the youth group bowling on Saturday Night...

We had a great time although I stunk it up bowling wise...

Finally here is a cute story for those of you who are following March Madiness.

This morning I was up before Rebecca and Abby (which almost never happens) and I was watching a sports talk show (Mike & Mike in Morning). As I was watching Abby came in the room and sat down next to me. The two guys on the show were talking about Cinderella teams (a team who is lowly ranked or not considered to win.) for the tournament. The conversation went on for about 10-15 minutes and they must have said "cinderella" about 10 times. Finally Abby turned to me and said
"Um Dad, those guys are talking about cinderella?", "yes Abby they are. " I said "Um Why?" , she asked
"They are talking about Basketball"
"Oh!?!??"

All I could think was that she must of thought that cinderella plays basketball?

I tried my best to explain it to her. But I don't think it got through to her... Oh well, I hope everyone has a nice day! and if you see cinderella playing basketball somewhere, someone please tell me if she plays in the glass slippers...

Hiking or Hunting????

So yesterday here in Maryland it was 50s + and very sunny.. So i took off from work about 2 hours early and went home to get my dog (Watson). I thought it would be a nice day for hiking and I heard about this remote place around my house and i wanted to try it out. So we jumped in the car and off we went. We arrived at this little service road and so i parked my car and we started walking with very little promise... What I saw in front of me was an over pass and lots of mud...

But as we came out the other side of the other place these two very pretty and quite ponds opened up right in front of us. So we started walking!

There are tons of wild birds here. I thought to myself "Great I can get some neat shots." I was wrong because I let Watson off the leash and off he went. Running here and there and everywhere (never out my voice range or eye sight). For those of you who don't Watson very well. He is the best dog in the world cause he doesn't like to get wet. He is part German shepherd and Alaskan Malamute (or the sled dogs).

AMERICAN ANHINGA OR SNAKE-BIRD.

Flying away because the dumb geese that followed us everywhere

Although at one point he almost got us Canadian Geese dinner. He took off around a bend and I heard a horrible noise. The next thing I know 2 geese are flying and honking very loudly and landed into the river. So I thought to myself no big deal Watson won't go after them into the water. Only problem was that Watson could see the bottom of river bed and went running after the birds. Luckly the birds flew away and we carried on with the rest of the day...

We started walking around the pond. Only problem was that the Geese followed us around the pond yelling at Watson the whole time. So all the other birds kept their distance for us... it was a nice day anyway! just next time i want to get some cool pictures I won't bring Watson!

Please enjoy the photos

this is taken from Google image... the red line is what I think we walked yesterday

A new discovery!!!!

So I am preaching tomorrow on Isaiah 42: 1-4 which says

"1Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen,in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.
2He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice, or make it heard in the street;
3 a bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench;
he will faithfully bring forth justice. 4He will not grow faint or be discouraged till he has established justice in the earth; and the
coastlands wait for his law."

So i went over to a pond to get some shots of a bruised reed and the following is what I found there:

3 Months Already?

So someone turned 3 months old yesterday. WE are learning so much about her.

1. She loves to watch us (not as much as she loves to be held though)
2. She seems to laugh more than Abby did (at least from what I can remember)
3. She is very vocal (she gets that from her mom)
Man I am in so much trouble when she is 3 and Abby is 6. I won't know what in the world is going on... I can't wait!

On another note Abby told me yesterday
"You are the best dad in the whole wide world!!!"

So basically I hugged and kissed her. I also realized that:

I WILL NEVER GET SICK OF HEARING THAT!

Enjoy the photos....

Traveling Man!!!

So I realized something about myself this past weekend. You see, I went Buffalo and then onto Toronto to see a World Classic Baseball game (in case you don't know that is a world tournament involving many major league baseball players) so I left Baltimore on Friday afternoon...
I would normally just listen to the XM sports talk radio, instead I turned on my ipod abd listened to music all the way home to Buffalo...

So here is the thing that I learned about myself. I love driving! Give me an open road (or at least one other person driving faster then me), sun, warmth and I am in Heaven!!!!

I love to play music as loud as possible, sing at the top of my lungs, play air guitar (one handed of course) or drum on my steering wheel! I am one of those people that you might see at stop light. You try not to stare at and laugh... There is something so freeing about not worrying about your surroundings. I think a new U2 songs says it very clearly: "The right to be ridiculous is something i hold dear"

I was sitting at a red light in a little town in NY and all of sudden it hit me -
You look ridiculous right now!
But i didn't care, I was having some fun!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy some shots that I got with my camera phone...

And the next time you see someone dancing and singing loudly in their car just smile and think "Justin is doing that somewhere right now!"

Here is a list of some of the songs I listened to:
1. Penny on Train Track: Ben Kweller
2. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight: U2
3. Three More Days: Ray LaMontange
4. The One I Love: David Gray
5. Thunder Road: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band
6. Born in the USA: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band
7. No One: Alicia Keys
8. Target: Embrace
9. Blessed: Brett Dennen
10. Better Days: The Goo Goo Dolls
11. Meet Virginia: Train
12. Viva La Vida: Coldplay
13. Violet Hill: Coldplay
14. Healing Song: Bebo Norman
15. Just Don't Want Coffee Tonight: Caedmon's Call
16. Love Alone: Caedmon's Call
17. Faith My Eyes: Caedmon's Call
18. Disappear: Bebo Norman
19. This is Home: Switchfoot
20. Latter Days: Over The Rhine
And Millions of other songs:

Snow Day...

So, it finally snowed in Maryland... Rebecca, Abby and I went out to play in the snow... I realized something as I watched Abby play in the snow... I saw what Jesus was talking about when he said....

"But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Abby had such a good time: giggling, pretending to be a Paleontologist, throwing snow, jumping on Mom, learning how to make "snow ponies". It was then that God reminded me - All Abby wanted to do was spend time with us... Which is the same thing that God wants... He wants us to want to spend time with Him! So I am glad that I was reminded of that. Enjoy the photos...
