Disappointment
Well, I got some disappointing news the other day and this is what I wrote about it.
I will post the vacation pictures tomorrow.
Disappointment, What power you hold over me.
Like a vise grip on my hopes you play on my emotions like a puppeteer.
The "what might have been" is a curse
"What ifs" and "maybes" are rocks that shipwreck my lifeboat.
Yet somehow if I follow my ways, then I miss out on Your dreams for me.
If I run after my heart's desires then I replace You “MY HEART’S DESIRE”
“Thy treasure-thy heart"
Father, be my treasure and take my heart with its dreams and hopes!
Father, help me understand that behind every disappointment is another door or opportunity. Please help me to see Your hand in the midst of the disappointment. Help me understand that this is what I mean when I say “Not my will but Yours been done”

Thanks for Reading

What heartfelt words! I'm very sorry about your disappointment and have been there myself.
There is no greater place than the place of submission to God's will. Even if His will doesn't look the way that I think it should.
Transition times are never easy. Times when you wonder where on earth you are headed. Do what you know to do. What has God told you already? Do it well and wait for the next step. We may feel disappointed, but He never disappoints. There is much to be learned along the journey.
Blessings!
